Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Anelisa Benavides has joined the Litigation group as an associate attorney in the firm’s Phoenix office.
Benavides focuses her practice on helping municipal clients find resourceful and strategic solutions to dispute resolution when accidents and other catastrophic events occur. With over six years of experience in both state and federal court, Benavides regularly handles sensitive litigation involving personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, insurance defense, contract disputes, employment law, workers’ compensation and municipal law.

Benavides previously served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of El Paso, Texas, giving her unique insight into the specific needs and interests of municipalities. In her role, she provided legal counsel to city departments, management and elected officials regarding potential risks/liability involving human resources, public health, public safety, workers’ compensation and all other aspects of municipal liability.
Benavides completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at El Paso and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School.
