Regardless of the cause, our attorneys and staff bring urgency and advocacy to the representation of individuals who would otherwise have limited legal recourse. Every year, the firm dedicates hundreds of hours of our resources in support of diverse human rights causes, including child adoption and advocacy, legal aid for survivors of domestic violence, refugee and immigrant support services, and military veteran support services.

In addition to contributions by individuals, the firm coordinates substantial contributions through full-time pro bono staff who – in addition to dedicating their own services – connect incoming pro bono opportunities to available attorneys, paralegals, and support staff across all Spencer Fane offices.

The Spencer Fane Charitable Giving Program aims to provide significant support to select local nonprofit organizations through a donation over the course of multiple years. The primary goal of the program is to encourage long-standing relationships with nonprofit organizations and provide our people with additional opportunities to become involved and positively impact the community.

We seek to support opportunities that meet the firm’s core philanthropic objectives:

• Impact: Concentrate charitable contributions to have maximum impact on select causes within the community.
• Relationships: Create opportunity to grow long-lasting relationships with organizations in the community.
• Involvement: Develop partnerships that allow our attorneys and staff an opportunity to become active participants in the nonprofit community.
• Commitment: Demonstrate the firm’s commitment to each cause by dedicating resources over a multi-year period to each organization selected for the program.

To better serve our clients, Spencer Fane has entered a limited number of strategic affiliations. These affiliations allow us to engage in joint training opportunities, exchange thoughts on emerging issues, and connect clients to trusted international resources.
