Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce its official combination with Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe, a recognized full-service, 50-attorney law firm, effective February 2, 2026.
The combination broadens client access to a highly aligned group of professionals committed to supporting businesses across new geographies and practice areas, with a shared focus on culture, collaboration, and inclusion. This simultaneously provides Spencer Fane entry into the largest legal market in the world while also giving Golenbock professionals access to a combined bench of 700 attorneys and 31 offices across the nation.
“From the outset, it was clear that this was the right opportunity to join forces with a firm that shares our client-first philosophy and commitment to a collaborative, values-driven culture,” said Golenbock Managing Partner Jeffrey S. Berger, who will now serve as Office Managing Partner of Spencer Fane New York. “We have seen the firm’s dedication to excellence and its reputation for innovation align seamlessly with our own. “We have long seen the opportunity to serve clients more deeply in the New York market, but our priority was to find a firm like Golenbock that not only aligns with our culture, but also meaningfully enhances the value we deliver to clients,” Spencer Fane Chair Patrick J. Whalen said. “We are excited to have found in the Golenbock professionals a group whose shared values, talent, and client-first approach strengthen our ability to deliver exceptional outcomes and expand possibilities for those we serve.”
The firms announced the pending move in mid-December, identifying the mutual benefits for two firms dedicated to culture and service with a commitment to attracting and retaining top legal talent.
“This combination represents an exciting step forward for both firms as we continue to focus on delivering exceptional service to our clients,” Golenbock Chair Andrew C. Peskoe said. “The collaborative culture, expansive platform, and bold approach to reimagining the traditional law firm model are natural complements to our client-first philosophy.”
