Spencer Fane is pleased to announce David Waters as the latest firm attorney selected for the Kansas City Tomorrow (KCT) Leadership Class by the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City.
As part of the distinguished program’s 47th cohort – an honor bestowed only to 30 regional professionals for the 2025-2026 season – David will engage in the 10-month educational experience. Co-facilitated by Kansas City’s most influential business leaders and industry experts, KCT aims to equip senior-level business and community leaders with the insights and connections needed to drive regional progress in areas such as economic mobility, education, regional growth, workforce development, public policy, advocacy, equity and inclusion.
David joins other Spencer Fane professionals such as Greg Ash, Mike Delaney, Adam LaBoda, Bryant Lamer, Stephanie Lovett-Bowman, Hillary Martel, Patrick McAndrews, and David Wing as a KCT participant.
At the firm, David helps a diverse network of clients in the governmental, business, health care, and hospitality industries successfully handle the full range of legal needs related to real estate transactions, ensuring projects stay on time and on budget. He also currently serves as the Overland Park Office Managing Partner and maintains deep involvement with the Kansas City metro community. Uniquely, he serves as an elected official and is currently the mayor of Westwood, Kansas, in the Kansas City metro area. He is also member of the board of directors for the City Attorneys Association of Kansas, is Immediate Past-President of the Kansas Mayors Association, and recently joined the Kansas City Arts Council Board of Directors.
