Spencer Fane Continues Strong, Measured Growth in Tampa with Addition of Three Associates

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Brittainy Joyner (Litigation and Dispute Resolution), Marissa Milazzo (Real Estate), and Nicole Zaworska (Business Transactions) have joined as associates in the firm’s Tampa office. The notable additions come after real estate partners Derek Larsen-Chaney, Raciel Perez, and Josh Podolsky came to the firm in early August and as part of the firm’s track record of attracting talented attorneys to address increased client demand in one of the fastest-growing markets in the nation.

About the Attorneys

Brittainy Joyner – Joyner provides strong and detailed advocacy for her clients while handling their complex litigation matters. Her previous experience includes a broad range of commercial litigation and employment litigation. Additionally, she specifically represented homeowner’s associations through motion practice, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.

After completing undergraduate studies at Howard University and earning her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law, Joyner began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney for the Fourth Judicial Circuit, where she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases. She spent two years as a math teacher with Teach for America in Houston, Texas, before opting to attend law school.

Marissa Milazzo – Milazzo focuses her practice on business law with a particular emphasis on real estate transactions. She represents individuals, companies, developers, and homebuilders through all aspects of their commercial real estate transactions.

Milazzo completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Tampa and earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and will provide valuable support to the growing real estate team.

Nicole Zaworska – Zaworska represents private and public domestic and international companies, as well as individuals, in a broad range of business and transactional matters, including corporate governance and organizational issues, mergers and acquisitions, and taxation. Her experience also includes a strong background in real estate financing, deal structure, and associated litigation.

After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, Zaworska earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. She also recently earned an L.L.M. in taxation from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law.
