Overview

Pete Mirakian focuses his practice on corporate governance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, and tax law.

Pete serves as the chair of the firm’s Opinion Committee, which oversees the firm’s third-party legal opinion practice. He represents public and private companies and individuals in complex U.S. as well as international transactions and joint ventures, registered and unregistered securities offerings, securities regulatory compliance, including issues under the Federal Securities Act, Exchange Act, Investment Advisers Act, and Investment Company Act; FINRA rules; stock exchange rules; and state “blue sky” laws, business and tax planning, corporate governance issues, including the formation and operation of special board committees, internal corporate investigations, and a wide variety of contractual negotiations. Pete’s knowledge of securities and tax law and corporate governance practices are integral to solving client problems effectively and efficiently.
