Spencer Fane is pleased to announce it has been recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media (MLM) as recipient of the 2025 Most Innovative Law Firms honor which was celebrated at the publication’s Legal Innovation Summit in St. Louis.
The distinction for innovation follows the firm’s recent honors from other industry thought leaders for the ingenuity it brings in growing a law firm capable of continuously unlocking new value for clients while also standing as one of the highest performing firms nationally in workplace satisfaction.
More specifically, MLM singled out Spencer Fane as an honoree for the Most Innovative Law Firm award for the impact of its recent organizational redesign, which has also caught the attention of Bloomberg Law and Financial Times, recognizing Spencer Fane as an inaugural Leading Law Firm honoree and shortlisting the firm for the Innovative Lawyers Awards North America 2025, respectively.
St. Louis Office Managing Partner Amy Mistler accepted the honor on the firm’s behalf and was joined by attorneys Ryan Barber, Daniel Burke, Jim Dankenbring, Kate Daus, Van DeGregorio, James Jaworski, and Connor Walsh at the Nov. 20 event’s awards ceremony.
The Summit celebrated innovative excellence in areas such as technology, client service, and operations while also providing a forum for forward-thinking legal professionals, technology leaders, and innovators to discuss the evolution of legal services alongside emerging technologies. Spencer Fane was one of only two law firms in the state of Missouri to receive the 2025 Most Innovative Law Firms award, a testament to the firm’s redesign which the publication has called “a revolutionary organizational structure” for its focus on attorney empowerment, autonomy, and emphasis on prioritizing culture, professional development, and excellent client service.
The firm’s drive to innovate in a historically risk-averse industry, particularly when it comes to creating an environment where its professionals are empowered to creatively explore best approaches to meet client needs, has also resulted in recognition of its commitment to culture.
