June 17, 2024

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce new associate Maureen Foster and returning associate Luke J. Wolf have joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group in the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Maureen and Luke both guide clients through all aspects of litigation with multifaceted strategies to favorably resolve disputes with minimal complications. The two utilize all methods of dispute resolution to manage sensitive information and form tactical, safeguarded approaches to evolving client interests.

In addition to her general litigation practice, Maureen works with landlords, tenants, developers, and other related clientele to develop tailored solutions within the highly complex, heavily segmented arena of real estate and construction law. An adjunct professor for a mentor externship program at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, she applies her comprehensive skills in professional development planning and mentoring to her current practice, prioritizing effective communication and transparent goal setting to achieve optimal outcomes.

With experience in class actions, wage and hour litigation, noncompetition agreements, antitrust matters, residential mortgage-backed securities, and shareholder disputes, Luke uses his dynamic skills to quickly and efficiently navigate shifting objectives. He frequently works with high-stakes matters, preserving the reputations and viability of clients and businesses while protecting confidential information. Luke’s ability to thoughtfully and aggressively advocate for intertwining personal and professional interests is a testament to his highly adaptable legal acumen.

“The litigation matters we handle are increasingly complex and require concentrated knowledge,” said Don Heeman, Office Managing Partner for Spencer Fane in Minneapolis. “Bringing in attorneys who understand both the delicacy of sensitive client interests as well as the necessity of aggressive, hyper-focused litigation is paramount to supporting the smooth, resourceful operations of our team. We look forward to weaving in the diverse skill sets of Maureen and Luke for an even more comprehensive approach.”

Maureen completed her undergraduate degree summa cum laude at Creighton University and earned her Juris Doctor cum laude at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the University of St. Thomas Law Journal and worked as a lead research assistant. She completed both an externship and a clerkship at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Luke completed his undergraduate degree summa cum laude and earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude at the University of Minnesota. He also completed multiple clerkships, including one for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Division in Washington, D.C.
