Measured Growth for Spencer Fane Highlighted in Texas Lawyer and Law360 Articles

January 20, 2021

Texas Lawyer and Law360 recently highlighted Spencer Fane for the addition of three new attorneys in the Plano, Texas office as part of a continued trend of measured growth for the firm. In recently published articles, both publications looked at the recent hire of attorneys Gerrit Pronske, Jason Kathman, and Megan Clontz to the Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors’ Rights Practice Group.

“Spencer Fane literally checked every box for us,” Gerrit told Texas Lawyer, noting that the attorneys wanted to work at a firm with a collaborative culture that valued quality work.

“Texas is a focus for Spencer Fane, and in addition to bankruptcy and restructuring, hopes to add health care, tax, labor and employment and intellectual property lawyers in 2021,” Spencer Fane Chair, Pat Whalen stated in the Texas Lawyer article.

This month the firm’s Plano office celebrated its third year with Spencer Fane, growing from two people when it first opened to 24 attorneys. “We’re well-poised in north Texas and in Plano, being part of Collin County, one of the fastest-growing counties in the country,” Paul Sander explained in the article. “I think that’s representative of the Texas legal market, and we think the future is bright.”
