Christine Chasse Becomes Certified Information Privacy Professional

Spencer Fane attorney Christine Chasse has earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional/U.S. (CIPP/US) credential from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), which is considered an industry gold standard across the globe.

By achieving this designation, Christine demonstrates a keen understanding of the continuously evolving landscape of U.S. data privacy. This includes limits on data collection and use, government and court access to private-sector information, and workplace and state privacy laws.

Christine joins Spencer Fane attorneys such as David Brininger, Thomas Hayde, Sarah Porter, and Jeremy Rucker in earning the CIPP/US credential.

At Spencer Fane, Christine Chasse, RN, collaborates with small and large institutions in industries such as health care, finance, and education. She utilizes her extensive experience to assess and successfully resolve claims of professional liability, malpractice liability, premises liability, and wrongful death for hospital systems, skilled nursing facilities, and stand-alone emergency rooms. Christine also guides her clients through cybersecurity, data privacy, and cyber incident response matters such as potential HIPAA breaches and data security incidents. This work involves advising on notification procedures, responses, and risk assessment as well as notifying regulators such as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office for Civil Rights (OCR), state attorneys generals, and the SEC.
