Shannon M. Bond
Overview
Shannon Bond is a member of the Spencer Fane Health Care, Corporate and Business Transactions, and Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Groups. She focuses her practice on regulatory, transactional, and business questions facing health care clients, working primarily with hospitals, health systems, physician groups, and investors to find solutions related to internal governance, regulatory compliance, contract structuring, data privacy (HIPAA and Part 2), and other issues that they might encounter.
Shannon’s focus is on helping health care providers navigate questions of operational and regulatory risk so that they can focus on providing great care. She has experience in drafting a wide variety of health care and business documents and analyses, including hospital governing and medical staff bylaws; physician employment agreements; management services agreements; compliance and operational policies and procedures; Stark and Anti-Kickback analysis; EMTALA analysis; and in various health care transactions, including joint ventures and sales of health care entities.
Shannon graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law with high distinction and was elected to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, she served as an executive editor for the Nebraska Law Review, was published in Nebraska Law Review 97:1, represented clients as a student attorney in the Nebraska Law Immigration Clinic, worked in the chambers of a U.S. District Court judge, and received gold-level distinction for her pro bono work.
