Joseph M. (Joe) Dworak

Overview
Joseph “Joe” Dworak advises individuals, organizations, and governments on a wide range of regulatory matters, developing practical solutions that comply with rapidly evolving legal requirements and advance clients’ short- and long-term priorities in the areas of litigation, environmental and energy law, and governmental affairs.
With extensive experience in government administration and public policy, Joe has successfully managed legal and business matters through civil litigation and appeals, administrative law, investigations, legislative affairs, and operational management. He has trained and led teams of regulatory attorneys and is recognized as a leader in rulemaking and administrative proceedings. Joe’s previous positions and associated skill set help him view compliance matters from the perspective of government agencies, a valuable lens for better serving his clients’ interests.
Joe has held prominent government appointments, most recently as a Deputy Attorney General for the state of New Mexico, where he also previously served as Litigation Director and Open Government Deputy Director. Between positions at the Office of the Attorney General, he was appointed Director by the Governor of New Mexico to the state’s Regulation and Licensing Department, where he oversaw 29 professional and health licensing boards and commissions. Prior to graduating law school, Joe clerked for Commissioner Mignon Clyburn at the Federal Communications Commission in Washington, D.C.
