Two Spencer Fane Attorneys Continue Missouri Lawyers Media POWER List Streak

March 4, 2026

Spencer Fane is pleased to announce attorneys Jim Price and Mike McCann continue to be recognized on the annual Missouri Lawyers Media Power 100 list, earning a third consecutive spot on the list.

The POWER List is a monthly MLM feature that honors the state’s most powerful attorneys across a wide range of practice areas, with “the cream of the crop” determined at the end of each year after the publication reviews hundreds of POWER profiles. Jim and Mike are honored in the 2025 Environmental and Energy Law and Mergers & Acquisitions categories, respectively.

At Spencer Fane, Jim – former co-chair of the firm’s Environmental and Energy Law practice group and former Executive Committee member – concentrates his practice on environmental regulation and compliance, environmental litigation, toxic torts, and business transactions involving environmental issues. Jim has served as lead counsel for numerous environmental matters, including lawsuits, Superfund proceedings, RCRA corrective action, environmental transactions, and environmental permitting and compliance for solid waste, hazardous waste, water, air, and other matters, and also serves as a robust thought leader within the industry.

Mike, former chair of the firm’s Business Transactions practice group, concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate, securities and nonprofits. Mike has handled hundreds of acquisitions, dispositions and mergers ranging in size from a few million dollars to over a billion dollars.   His experience includes representing purchasers and sellers in many industries, including technology and software, craft beer and alcohol, broadcast and cable television, consumer products, professional services, manufacturing, insurance, food processing, construction and mining.   Mike has also represented many clients with respect to capital raising activities, whether through sales of equity or debt, convertible or hybrid securities, SAFE agreements or conventional bank debt.  Mike represents a wide variety of nonprofit entities and routinely advises those clients with respect to governance, tax, antitrust and trade regulation, membership and certification issues.
