Spencer Fane Team Attends National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Convention

Spencer Fane attorneys Gene Cherng, Daniel Chung, and Jay Ji attended the 2024 National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Convention on November 7-10 in Seattle, Washington.

This annual gathering of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander legal professionals brings meaningful insights, connections, and perspectives to the legal community through a phenomenal program of meetings, seminars, fireside chats, and networking receptions. Gene and Daniel joined over 3400 attendees at this year’s event, setting a record for NAPABA.

In his role as Vice President of the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California, Daniel attended the convention’s reception for Korean American Bar Associations across the country. Held at the Lotte Hotel, this first-of-its-kind meeting was attended by over 500 professionals.

At Spencer Fane, Gene lends his considerable knowledge to the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. Admitted to the patent bar, he has successfully represented patent owners and accused infringers alike in the district courts and the U.S. Patent Office in cases involving software, electrical, and mechanical arts technologies. Daniel is an experienced trial attorney who helps clients through all stages of litigation. A former criminal prosecutor in New York City and Silicon Valley, he adeptly navigates high-stakes investigations, cases, motions, hearings, and trials. Jay is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions team and helps clients navigate complex legal and regulatory issues so that they can meet the increasing demands of today’s business environment.
