Spencer Fane Supports Nashville Community Through Habitat for Humanity Build Day

June 30, 2023

Spencer Fane was pleased to co-sponsor a “Build Day” for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville on June 4. Attorneys and staff members Sam McAllester, Andrea Perry, Chris Raybeck, Will Stout, Brittany Britt, Jenn Trapp, and Kay Tenpenny represented the firm and volunteered at the event.

The firm partnered with CapStar Bank to assist in the construction of a home for a deserving local family. The team worked with the homeowners as well as volunteers from Unity Church and LP Building. Through their hard work, the entire crew assisted Habitat in its mission to provide affordable housing, as volunteer labor saves $25,000 per Nashville home.

Since its 1985 inception, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville has brought people together to build homes, communities, and hope across a five-county area. Habitat utilizes sustainable building practices and the support of government, corporate, faith, and individual partnerships to create safer neighborhoods for families. Sam McAllester – who led the Spencer Fane team at the Build – has been deeply involved with the organization for over a decade. Serving in multiple leadership positions within the organization, he is currently a board member, treasurer, Executive Committee member, and Finance Committee chairman.

At Spencer Fane, our attorneys are active leaders in their communities as well as in the legal industry. Our firmwide programs around charitable giving, diversity, pro bono matters, and volunteerism fuel the Spencer Fane culture of corporate stewardship and community involvement. Habitat Build Day is just one example of how our attorneys give back to their surrounding communities.
