Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Christine Chasse joined the Health Care practice group as an associate in the firm’s Dallas office.
Chasse brings extensive experience collaborating with small and large institutions, including skilled nursing facilities and stand-alone emergency rooms, to assess and successfully resolve claims of professional liability, malpractice liability, premises liability, and wrongful death. She also regularly handles regulatory and compliance matters and associate litigation for physicians, nurses, and chiropractors and their associated hospitals, offices, and health systems.
Prior to law school, Chasse spent 12 years working in health care as a registered nurse.
“Christine brings a unique and valuable background of professional experience in patient care, education, and leadership to her legal work,” said Jason Cross, Office Managing Partner for Spencer Fane in Dallas. “Because of this, Christine first seeks to understand the scope of her health care clients’ operations and business and provides legal services that allow them to utilize resources to focus on patient care and not potential financial and reputational exposure.”
Chasse completed her undergraduate studies in nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) before completing a residency with Baylor Health Care System. She later earned a master’s degree in nursing administration from UTA and went on to work in nursing education, administration, and management before going back to school, earning a Juris Doctor from Texas A&M.
While in law school, Chasse founded and served as president of the Aggie Health Law Society and regularly published articles in scholarly and professional publications.
