Mike Patterson Provides Tips on Unlocking CHIPS Act Funding Through Webinar Series

Spencer Fane attorney Mike Patterson recently spoke about the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) and Science Act during the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC)’s latest CHIPS Act webinar. Mike and Heather Hughes have been recurring presenters for this ongoing educational series about the government program.

The webinars provide valuable information to business leaders in the Greater Phoenix region about eligibility, rules and regulations, the application process, and other resources needed to apply for a portion of the CHIPS Act’s $52.7 billion federal investment. In Part 5: National Advanced Packaging Manufacturing Program (NAPMP) NOFO, Mike joined Snell & Wilmer’s Brett Johnson and Troy Galan in explaining the U.S. Department of Commerce’s February 28 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the research and development of key technology in manufacturing semiconductors. They outlined the components needed to apply for funding, which includes a mandatory concept paper due April 12, 2024.
