August 15, 2022

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Kristen Walker has joined the firm’s Nashville office as an Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group.

As a former Assistant Attorney General, Walker represented the state and associated agencies in civil litigation matters, including trials and appeals, before administrative agencies and state and federal courts. Walker also spent more than a year as Associate General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, where she counseled various state agencies, including the Appraiser Commission, Auctioneer Commission, Home Inspector Licensing Program, Real Estate Commission, and Board for Licensing Contractors, on various matters. Her unique experience in these government roles and her understanding of administrative and regulatory matters will enhance the legal services that Spencer Fane offers to its clients.

“Spencer Fane continues to reinforce a commitment to the growing needs of our ever-expanding client base,” said Charles Robert Bone, Office Managing Partner for Spencer Fane Bone McAllester in Nashville. “Kristen’s background gives her unique insight into complex regulatory and litigation matters, which will be invaluable to the firm’s clients.”

Walker completed her undergraduate studies at Christian Brothers University and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Prior to entering private practice, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Rhynette Hurd in the Shelby County (Tennessee) Circuit Court and spent time as a legal intern for a name-brand auto parts company.
