Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Kim Kerns has joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group as an of counsel attorney in the firm’s Plano office.
Kerns guides clients through all phases of litigation with a track record of achieving favorable verdicts when trial becomes necessary but also coordinating favorable outcomes through dispositive motions and settlement to provide resolutions when beneficial to client objectives. With over 25 jury trials under her belt, Kerns has successfully defended insurance companies, construction companies, municipalities, design professionals, motor carriers, and individuals in first and third-party lawsuits involving contract disputes and tort claims. She has also handled surety law matters and investigated the merits of bond claims.

Kerns completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Dallas and earned her Juris Doctor at the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Outside of her professional work, she serves as a coach for high school mock trial teams, helping to inspire the next generation of litigation attorneys.
