As recent additions to the Spencer Fane DEI Committee, Bill and Nate are actively involved in the firm’s DEI initiatives, which include providing educational opportunities for our attorneys and professional staff, measuring and monitoring each success and challenge, investing in formal and informal mentorship, and supporting attorneys and professional staff with a dedicated budget, among others.
“I’ve been pretty heavily involved in diversity initiatives here in Texas,” Bill noted. “I’ve always been a lawyer in the diversity and inclusion space, so for me it was a natural fit. The minute I joined the firm, I became interested in what their efforts were and wanted to know what the firm was doing. So it was a natural fit for me.”
Nate went on to explain, “DEI has been a passion for me since before we had the term…I’m heavily involved in community leadership through various civic and charity organizations, and I’ve made championing DEI one of the principles behind that.”
