Spencer Fane attorney Kirstin Kanski spoke at the Best Buy + Retail Gift Card Association (RGCA) Education Forum on June 10 in Edina, Minnesota.
The forum focused on how emerging technologies, digital innovation, and AI continue to reshape the gift card industry, including fraud prevention and blockchain technologies. Kirstin joined a panel that included Ben Jackson (Innovative Payments Association, COO) and Joe Vasterling (Best Buy Financial Services, Director) for a discussion on “The Role of Gift Cards in Shopping 3.0.” They outlined how gift cards fit into an emerging, AI-driven retail landscape where agentic commerce, blockchain, and digital payments are reshaping the technologies that drive consumer experience.
