Overview

Will Wojcik’s multidisciplinary practice encompasses a diverse range of complex commercial litigation, including high-stakes matters involving federal and state regulatory investigations, civil disciplinary enforcement actions, and False Claims Act violations. He prosecutes and defends claims for his clients in federal, state, appellate, and administrative courts, providing counsel on real estate, construction, financial services, banking, investment management, and insurance-related disputes.

Will serves his clients as outside general counsel, providing enterprise-wide advice on corporate, regulatory compliance, real estate, tax, liability, transactional, and employment matters. He also has experience handling First Amendment issues that arise at the intersection of public universities and the private rights of students.

Will enjoys working with a variety of businesses and people, with clients ranging from entrepreneurs and startups to the C-Suite of Fortune 100 companies. He feels most satisfied when he helps clients navigate particularly complicated problems. His clients’ disputes regularly make national headlines, and he is skilled at managing rapidly developing issues in real time.

Will assists clients in forming tax-exempt and nonprofit charitable corporations, guiding them through the process of obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status at the federal and state levels. He regularly assists both nonprofit and for-profit clients in settling tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and state regulatory agencies.

  • Defended client in qui tam lawsuit alleging False Claim Act violations where relator claimed client had participated in alleged scheme to defraud federal government for over $2 billion.
  • Represented FinTech lending and loan servicing companies in relation to civil disciplinary enforcement actions and investigations brought by state regulators in Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota.
  • Represented Fortune 100 company and its affiliated entities in relation to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Civil Investigative Demand.
  • Represented national general contractor in relation to construction defect claims in excess of $2 million at a newly built 33-story hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
  • Represented national real estate development company in lawsuit alleging fraud and breach of contract arising out of sale of $80 million apartment complex in Nashville, Tennessee.
