Greg Scharlau helps public and private companies navigate corporate transactions, securities matters, and strategic business initiatives, effectively assisting clients across a wide range of industries to pursue growth opportunities and achieve long-term objectives.

A significant portion of Greg’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private and public financings, and general corporate matters. He represents companies in stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, equity and debt financing transactions, and other strategic business transactions. He also advises private companies throughout their life cycle, from formation and startups to angel and venture capital financing.

Greg regularly counsels public companies on securities law compliance and corporate governance matters. His experience includes advising NASDAQ- and NYSE-listed companies on public reporting obligations, proxy solicitations, insider trading compliance, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and related governance issues. Clients rely on his practical guidance to navigate evolving regulatory requirements while supporting their business objectives.

In addition to his corporate and securities practice, Greg has significant experience with intellectual property licensing matters. He has advised clients on licensing transactions involving technologies and products across a variety of industries, including energy, manufacturing, software development, and life sciences.
