Overview

Ethan Sotak is a full-service litigation attorney who focuses primarily on banking and financial services litigation, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. He represents a variety of clients, including state and nationally chartered banks, non-bank lenders, loan servicers, and real estate developers.

Ethan defends these clients in a wide range of claims and across all facets of real estate litigation, including quiet title actions, condemnation issues, land use litigation, easement disputes and breach of contract, lien priority issues, and breach of financial documents such as promissory notes, guaranties, and lease agreements. He focuses his practice on all forms of litigation that “touch the land” throughout Nebraska, Iowa, and Colorado.

Ethan’s commercial litigation practice includes working through the process of complex litigation, including breach of contract claims, business disputes, fraud claims, and other business actions. With an understanding of risk assessment, Ethan helps clients with cost-benefit analysis to drive client strategies through litigation. He recognizes that each case and client are different, and the client’s motivation may differ with every case. Ethan works to understand his client’s motivations and challenges by preparing strategies and using tools tailored to each case.

In his real estate litigation practice, Ethan focuses on the real estate development industry with a track record of providing owners and property management companies with resources for proactively resolving legal issues and maintaining efficient operations.
