Overview

Dwayne Danner represents consumer financial services providers of many sizes and product specialties in complex commercial litigation in Texas and across multiple other jurisdictions. He primarily focuses on counseling institutions on mortgage lending, automobile finance, and insurance defense issues. In addition, he helps clients navigate the many complexities that arise in real estate, title insurance, and eminent domain cases.

Dwayne primarily handles appellate matters at the federal level and occasionally at the Texas state court level. Whether representing a large client in multi-party litigation or a client involved in a small, single-plaintiff consumer case, he has earned a well-regarded reputation for agile litigation strategies in the courtroom and strong oral arguments before judges and juries.

Clients appreciate Dwayne’s extensive experience, comprehensive familiarity with their disputes, and ability to coordinate and track litigation through all stages. They also value his forward-thinking capacity to identify potential legal and business obstacles, issues, and omissions in their business systems and platforms. His emphasis on uncovering possible trouble and taking specific preventive measures and corrective actions to achieve compliance helps these organizations avoid what could be hundreds of cases down the road.

As former in-house counsel, Dwayne understands the big-picture perspective corporate legal departments must maintain as well as the many small-yet-important details they deal with every day. He also resonates with the budgetary pressure they’re constantly under, applying this familiarity to all his representative work. Employing a calm-but-determined and highly communicative style, he strives to ensure his clients encounter no surprises.
