Dane C. Martin
Overview
Dane Martin represents businesses, employers, and individuals in high-stakes litigation and disputes nationwide. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, governmental disputes, class actions, multidistrict litigation, business torts, breaches of contract, regulatory matters, and alternative dispute resolution. Known for his strategic judgment, attention to detail, and practical approach, he helps clients evaluate risk, develop effective litigation strategies, and achieve favorable outcomes in complex disputes.
In addition to his litigation practice, Dane serves as trusted employment counsel to employers on a wide range of workplace issues. He advises clients on employment agreements, restrictive covenants, workplace policies, employee discipline and leave matters, worker classification, privacy and information security, and regulatory compliance. He also defends employers in discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour, and other employment-related claims under federal and state law, helping organizations manage risk while supporting their business objectives.
Dane also has broad appellate experience, drawing on the experience he gained as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Patricia Breckenridge of the Supreme Court of Missouri. He has argued before the Supreme Court of Missouri and handled appeals and writ proceedings before state and federal appellate courts across the country, including the Second, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, and Tenth Circuits. This appellate experience provides valuable perspective in both his litigation and counseling practices, allowing him to identify key legal issues early and position matters for long-term success.
