Ashley Selwyn’s practice focuses on employee benefits law, corporate governance, and commercial litigation.  She is experienced in the design, implementation, and compliance of employee pension and welfare benefit plans, including defined benefit pension plans, defined contribution retirement plans, 401(k) plans, health and welfare benefit plans, apprenticeship training trusts, and vacation plans under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).

Ashley regularly advises employee benefit plan clients on regulatory compliance, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA), Securing a Strong Retirement Act 2.0 (SECURE 2.0 Act), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), and Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QMCSOs).  As part of her practice, Ashley pursues employers to collect contributions owed to employee benefit plans, secures recovery of subrogation claims, and resolves a wide variety of plan-related disputes.  A prolific submitter of IRS tax-exemption applications, Ashley has procured successful tax-exempt determinations for every application submitted.
