Alex S. Anderson

Overview
Alex Anderson focuses on assisting clients with bankruptcy and restructuring matters within the firm’s Banking and Financial Services practice group, ensuring adherence to legal principles and precedents amid an evolving industry.
Prior to joining Spencer Fane, Alex served as a law clerk for Chief Bankruptcy Judge John S. Hodge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Louisiana, where he managed high-volume caseloads, conducted case analyses and evaluations, researched and drafted memoranda and orders, and helped prepare for court hearings and trials.
While earning his Juris Doctor, Alex served as a research assistant to Professor Jay L. Westbrook, where he focused on researching complex Chapter 11 cases. He was also actively involved in several legal programs, competing on the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Team and serving as senior editor of the Texas Environmental Law Journal.
