Spencer Fane attorney Stacy Harper was profiled in a special May issue of Missouri Lawyers Media (MLM) following her 2023 Women’s Justice Award (WJA). She is one of four firm attorneys this year to receive this award and the only one recognized in her category.
In the WJA 25th anniversary issue, Stacy and her fellow award recipients were showcased under their respective categories. Stacy was recognized as an Innovation & Technology honoree. Her profile highlighted her career accomplishments and featured a reflection from Stacy on a decision that helped shape her career.
“I had planned to get my master’s in health administration at the University of Kansas,” Stacy shared. “Then [I] learned the university offers a joint degree program with the law school, so I decided to pursue both.”
WJA honorees are recognized for their “professional excellence in Missouri’s courtrooms and boardrooms.” Spencer Fane is the only firm with more than three honorees this year. Attorneys Liz Felker, Jessie Merrigan, and Charli Steed are also 2023 WJA recipients.
At Spencer Fane, Stacy counsels health care organizations on regulatory compliance reimbursement and data security issues. Using her prior experience as a health care compliance officer, she develops strategies for clients to mitigate risk and improve compliance.
