Spencer Fane is pleased to announce five of its attorneys have been named as 2024 Utah Legal Elite by Utah Business magazine across five different practice areas. The honorees were recognized at an awards banquet on June 21 and in a special issue of the magazine.
The awards honor 100 leading lawyers in Utah who have made significant contributions in their respective legal fields. These individuals are recognized for their exceptional legal knowledge, ethical standards, and professional accomplishments, reaffirming their respect and reputation within the legal community.
Legal Elite honorees are selected by their peers in a statewide balloting process. Members of the Utah Bar were invited to participate by submitting a ballot of Utah attorneys they hold in the highest regard – lawyers they have observed firsthand and would recommend to others. Nominators are allowed to cast only one ballot and cannot vote for themselves.
The firm’s 2024 Utah Legal Elite honorees, alongside the quote from the Legal Elite feature, include:
- Melinda Bowen – Civil/Criminal
- “Melinda has honed her ability to organize complicated cases in an understandable way and present a client’s position in its most persuasive form.”
- Colby Clark – Business Transactions and Corporate Law
- “Colby brings exemplary adaptability and a ferocious work ethic to all aspects of his transactional practice.”
- Nathan Crane – Criminal
- “Nathan’s broad range of experience grants him a unique and beneficial perspective on the intricacies of the justice system at the local, regional and national levels.”
- Jason Hawkins – Commercial Litigation
