Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Jennifer Riso has joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group as a partner in the firm’s Austin office.
A skilled litigator and advocate for clients involved in high-profile legal matters throughout the country, Riso handles complex, high-value litigation from inception through trial and appeal, when necessary. She regularly handles a wide range of disputes, including professional liability, product liability, catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims, on behalf of companies of all sizes and nonprofit organizations. She has a proven track record of successes at the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts throughout the nation.
Riso routinely represents fraternal organizations throughout the country. In addition to handling litigation matters for fraternal organizations, she also advises them on proactive approaches to identify ways to improve their policies and educational programming to reach students so as to address changing times and limit future issues. She also advises students in connection with student conduct and Title IX actions, and provides training and seminars designed to educate young adults on alcohol, hazing, sexual assault, bystander intervention and other areas of risk management.
“Spencer Fane remains committed to growing our presence in Texas to best align resources with where our clients do business,” Spencer Fane Chair Pat Whalen said. “Jennifer will be a valuable resource not only in the Austin office but also throughout our footprint due to the unique experience and skill set she brings to the firm. Her commitment to collaborative, high-level client service makes this a great fit and opportunity.”
Riso completed her undergraduate studies at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo and later earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
