The Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley (APABA Silicon Valley) has named Spencer Fane a 2024 Beacon of Diversity Award recipient.
APABA Silicon Valley fosters professional development, advocacy, and community involvement for the region’s Asian Pacific American legal community, with the aim of promoting justice and equality for all. As part of this core mission, the organization created the Law Firm Diversity Awards to celebrate law firms demonstrating the highest commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace, the profession, and the greater community.
Spencer Fane was formally recognized for this distinction at the 39th Annual APABA Silicon Valley Gala on September 20 in Santa Clara, California. Firm attorney and APABA Silicon Valley Social & Community Committee Co-chair Daniel Chung was honored to attend and accept the award on the firm’s behalf.
In the past year alone, Spencer Fane and its professionals have also received DEI honors from organizations such as Corporate Counsel, Missouri Lawyers Media, and the Houston and Dallas Business Journals. The firm is proud of these recognitions of its profound, visible commitment to building, maintaining, and leveraging a diverse and inclusive law firm. Examples of this dedication include appointing the first Spencer Fane Chief Diversity & Talent Officer, joining diversity-focused initiatives such as the Mansfield Certification process and Diversity & Flexibility Alliance, and providing ongoing educational opportunities and safe discussion spaces for all attorneys and support staff.
