Spencer Fane Labor and Employment Team to Speak at SHRM Legislative Conference

Spencer Fane attorneys Helen HoldenRob Warzel, and Kami Hoskins will present sessions at the SHRM Arizona Chapter’s 2025 Legislative Conference (Leg Con), on February 28 in Phoenix.

Leg Con allows HR professionals to stay updated on recent court decisions, regulations, and newly enacted legislation critical to their professional development and organization’s success. It will focus on the latest legislative issues pending at the local, state, and federal levels, as well as compliance and regulatory issues that affect how to conduct day-to-day HR business.

As part of this year’s programming, Helen and Rob will lead the presentation Pay it Forward: What Employers Need to Know in 2025 about Wage and Hour Law. The interactive session will explore increases in both state minimum wage and the federal salary threshold and other changes that may impact employers based on the regulatory environment.

Later in the afternoon, Rob and Kami will present Anatomy of a Claim, which examines the crucial role HR professionals play in protecting their organizations against legal exposure. The team will dissect legal claims from inception through resolution and emphasize the importance of HR professionals at each stage.
