Spencer Fane Gains Another Skilled IP Litigator in D.C.

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Matthew David joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group as an associate, joining a small, powerful team of intellectual property litigators in the new Washington, D.C. office amid the firm’s consistent national expansion.

With a background in engineering and as a former U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) examiner, Matt helps large technology companies navigate the intricacies of IP litigation, skillfully managing patent applications with hands-on intel and exceptional creativity. He primarily works within the computer, electrical, and mechanical arts in patent litigation, prosecution, and post-grant proceedings. Additionally, Matt has experience filing trademarks, patent due diligence, and opinion work.

Matt completed his undergraduate studies in computer engineering at Pennsylvania State University, then earned his Juris Doctor with honors at The George Washington University Law School.
