Spencer Fane Expands Litigation Bench in Salt Lake City

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Jeramy Ashton has joined the firm’s Salt Lake City office as an associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group.

Ashton focuses his diverse private practice on developing and implementing effective dispute resolution strategies to help clients efficiently and beneficially resolve legal matters. In particular, he utilizes a background as a health care worker, consultant, and policy staffer to defend health care professionals and systems, in addition to having specific experience in labor and employment litigation.

Prior to entering private practice, Ashton gained valuable analytical and administrative skills as a law clerk working in civil rights litigation. He later served as a Public Health Law Fellow for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Legal Fellow for the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, Research Fellow for the National Agricultural Law Center, and Judicial Extern for Judge Billy Roy Wilson in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.

Ashton earned his bachelor’s degree from Utah Valley University, graduating magna cum laude before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock’s William H. Bowen School of Law. While pursuing a legal degree, he served on The Arkansas Journal of Social Change and Public Service and later became the founder and president of the Health Law and Policy Society (HeLPS).
