Spencer Fane Continues Growth in California with Addition of Chung to San Jose Office

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Daniel Chung joined the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group as an associate in the firm’s San Jose office.

An experienced trial attorney, Daniel enters private practice after nearly a decade as a prosecuting attorney in New York and California. Most recently, he served as a deputy district attorney in Santa Clara (California) County, where he focused on handling violent felony cases, and in 2020, he earned the department’s Robert L. Webb Award in recognition of his strong trial advocacy skills.

Prior to this, Daniel spent time in the Bronx County (New York) District Attorney’s office.

“Daniel brings a deep understanding of all aspects of litigation and a unique perspective and skill set that will undoubtedly benefit our firm’s clients,” said Karen McCay, Office Managing Partner for Spencer Fane in San Jose. “We are excited about the opportunity to grow our presence in this market and continue to serve existing and future clients with efficient, collaborative legal services.

Daniel completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University and earned his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School. While pursuing his law degree, he defended indigent Harlem residents in Manhattan Criminal Court and also learned trial skills while working with federal prosecutors in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
