Spencer Fane Brings on Accomplished Partner to Financial Services Practice Group

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Mark Bogdanowicz has joined the Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors’ Rights practice group as a partner in the firm’s Nashville office.

Bogdanowicz focuses his private practice on complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, aligning strategies during proceedings with business goals and objectives in an effort to maximize recoveries for both secured and unsecured creditors. He regularly represents clients in business and agricultural workouts, negotiating plans of reorganization and cash collateral orders, and litigating valuation of collateral related to secured claims.

Additionally, Bogdanowicz has advised purchasers of businesses and assets out of distressed situations and defends business owners against fraudulent transfer claims and challenges of estate plans. He is often involved in rendering legal opinions in the bankruptcy context, including true sale and nonconsolidation opinion letters, and assists clients in structuring and negotiating transactions to minimize the adverse effect of potential fraudulent or preference claims.

Bogdanowicz is also an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and has served as coordinating editor for the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal since 2014. He completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University and earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School.
