Spencer Fane adds Brenden Desmond to Special Districts Practice Group in Denver

Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce attorney Brenden Desmond has joined the Special Districts Practice Group in the firm’s Denver office.

Desmond’s practice focuses on representing special districts, authorities, municipalities, and other local governmental bodies, as well as homebuilders and commercial property developers, in a variety of matters such as the planning, financing and construction of public infrastructure, elections, employment issues, statutory compliance and other regulatory matters, land use, tax protests, condemnation, utility rate setting, construction and contract disputes, environmental insurance, and public finance. He also brings experience representing architects, engineers, and other construction professionals before state and federal courts throughout Colorado.

A native of Colorado, Desmond completed his undergraduate studies in public policy and political science at the University of Denver and later earned his Juris Doctor from the school’s Sturm College of Law, where he also received a Constitutional Rights and Remedies Certificate. After Law School, he obtained a master’s in public administration from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

Desmond currently serves as the Construction Chair of the Professionalism and Education Committee for the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and previously served on the group’s Legislative Affairs Committee.
