Spencer Fane attorney Shawn Tuma illustrated his thought leadership at two February 27 legal industry events: the SecureWorld Financial Services Virtual Conference and the Elevate Xchange Roundtable Forum.
At the virtual conference, Shawn – a frequent SecureWorld collaborator – joined Shelly Thomas (SVP) to lead the Navigating Third-Party Risk and Vendor Resilience session. The pair offered cybersecurity risk mitigation advice for organizations that collaborate with third parties.
Later, Shawn presented at the Elevate Xchange Roundtable Forum: The Future of Complex & Dynamic Enterprise Landscapes & Governance, held in Frisco, Texas. He discussed the evolution of legal frameworks and corporate governance, how to adapt to meet new legal requirements, “future-proofing” against evolving regulations, and the pivotal relationship between Chief Information Security Officers and the legal team.
