Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce Misty Segura has joined the firm’s Houston office as an of counsel in the Bankruptcy, Restructuring, and Creditors’ Rights practice group.
Segura works with clients in a wide variety of industries. She brings extensive experience in helping businesses manage the full spectrum of bankruptcy matters and enforcement of creditors’ rights issues. Her work in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases focuses on representing secured creditors, trustees, landlords, and others.
In addition, Segura has defended clients against bankruptcy preference and fraudulent transfer claims. Her background in commercial litigation enables her to protect her clients’ interests when a consensual resolution to a dispute is not possible.

Segura completed her undergraduate studies at Lamar University and later earned her Juris Doctor from the South Texas College of Law in Houston.
