Spencer Fane attorney Rod Nichols was recently interviewed for an article featured in the Springfield Business Journal analyzing the Small Business Reorganization Act (SBRA).
Titled “Small Business, Big Debt: SBRA allows more efficient Chapter 11 bankruptcies,” the article outlines the SBRA’s impact on small businesses, specifically during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I think the SBRA is going to be used by a substantial number of small businesses that fall below the debt limit because it is an attractive option for a Chapter 11 debtor,” Rod explained in the article. “It’s easier to get a plan confirmed; it’s more efficient. The overwhelming majority of debtors are going to opt to proceed under the SBRA.”
