Spencer Fane LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Dean Neuwirth to the firm’s Denver office. He will serve as an of counsel attorney in the Litigation Practice Group.
Neuwirth’s practice focuses on appellate work for companies and individuals involved in complex commercial litigation and criminal defense.

Neuwirth joins the firm with 10 similarly focused attorneys who provide clients civil litigation counsel in the insurance industry, as well as in sectors including construction, consumer products, health care, and professional services. With an emphasis on defending bad faith claims and class action matters, this group commonly represents household name sector companies in jurisdictions across the nation.
Named 2016 Best Lawyers in America Colorado Appellate Lawyer of the Year, Neuwirth focuses on understanding his client’s goals, the trial record, and existing law to determine not only how best to win the appeal but also how to use the appellate process to try to preserve good law for his clients or change unfavorable law.
Neuwirth completed his undergraduate studies at Princeton University and earned his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. Neuwirth has briefed over 100 appeals and has orally argued over 40 of them. He was mentored in appellate work by former Colorado Supreme Court Justice Jean Dubofsky on nearly 30 appeals, several of which were highly visible cases.
