Spencer Fane is pleased to announce attorneys Kimberly Slay and Bill Hopkins accepted membership invitations to the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC).
Founded in 1920, the invitation-only IADC takes a leadership role in legal reform and professional development. Members strive to serve their profession and the civil justice system while benefiting from the IADC’s dedication to enhancing skills, professionalism, diversity, and camaraderie in the practice of law.
Kim and Bill join Spencer Fane colleagues such as John Browning, Jacob Esparza, George Freedman, Paul Kruse, Evan Stephenson, and Stephen Zralek in holding membership to this distinguished legal organization.
At Spencer Fane, Kim represents a broad range of corporate clients in all matters and phases of high-stakes and complex commercial litigation, from pretrial motion practice to trials and appeals. With more than 25 years of litigation and regulatory experience, Kim focuses her practice on commercial litigation, governmental relations, health care, state taxation, and environmental law. She also serves on the leadership committee for the firm’s Black Opportunities to Network and Discover (BOND) connect group.
Bill serves as Office Managing Partner for the firm’s Austin office and as a member of the Spencer Fane DEI Committee. As an attorney, he helps to protect health care providers and health care companies against the many potential pitfalls in the industry, serving as both an advocate and educator for his clients in administrative law, regulatory defense, compliance, and litigation.
