Spencer Fane is pleased to announce partner Kevin G. Corcoran’s election to the role of National Board Representative for the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Houston Chapter.
ABOTA is an invitation-only organization of trial lawyers dedicated to the preservation of the 7th Amendment right to a civil trial by jury, the promotion of civility and professionalism among members of the bar, and the protection of an independent judiciary. With more than 6,700 members nationwide, the organization is at the forefront of promoting the legal profession and independence of the judicial branch through its programming. Kevin will serve a two-year term in his new ABOTA leadership role, not only expanding his involvement in the organization’s mission, but attending both chapter and national meetings.
At Spencer Fane, Kevin is a distinguished trial lawyer. His involvement in Energy, Contractual, Petrochemical, Mass Tort, and Pipeline related matters spans over 30 years. He has handled and tried a variety of complex and difficult commercial and personal injury lawsuits with success, including a large contractual dispute in the oilfield services industry spread over four states, large explosion cases on pipelines and in industrial facilities, multiple death and serious injury cases, and environmental leaks and spills incidents.
