Spencer Fane attorney Karen D. Olson will speak at the 55th Spring Conference on Environmental Law, an American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (ABA SEER) event occurring April 22-24 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
This ABA SEER forum will provide dynamic insights and forward-thinking dialogue on the world of environmental, energy, and resources law and regulation. During the session, The Shape of Water: Back to the Basics of the Federal Clean Water Act, Karen will join her fellow panelists in equipping attendees with the basic tools needed to navigate the CWA. Topics will include the intricacies of the Section 402 National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit program and the Section 404 “dredge and fill” permit program, as well as the roles states and tribes play in permitting and in setting and maintaining water quality standards in their jurisdictions. The panel will also deliver the latest news on the scope of federal jurisdiction under the Clean Water Act in a continuously evolving legal landscape.
