Spencer Fane attorney John Ryan recently received the Board Member Award of Excellence for his work as treasurer at the Cape Area Community Foundation (CACF), an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO).
CACF Board President Skip Smallwood nominated John for his leadership and dedication to support the organization’s mission, noting that “no matter what the task, John is always willing and able to help…[He] always takes time for our community foundation.”
John was one of five board members selected from the over 520 board members throughout the State for his service and dedication to the CFO and affiliate board in Cape Girardeau.
Brian Fogle, CFO President, highlighted the importance of having and recognizing leaders like John, explaining that “great leaders make our affiliate foundations more successful, which in turn make the communities they serve so much stronger.”
The CFO serves to enhance the quality of life of their respective communities by helping philanthropic donors and local charities with grant making, collaboration, and public leadership. The organization works with over 50 affiliate boards covering the area south of the Missouri River stretching from Cape Girardeau to Joplin.
