Jim Price Explains the EPA’s New PFAS Regulations

August 24, 2021

Spencer Fane attorney Jim Price recently published an article featured in The Missouri Municipal Review covering updated regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) concerning contaminants in drinking water.

Titled “EPA Takes New Steps To Regulate PFAS,” the article discusses the new actions made by the EPA to regulate PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in drinking water, including revising the fifth Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule.

“These developments will affect municipalities and drinking water systems, beginning with the data gathering requirements, when established,” Jim explained in the article. “In time, they may affect manufacturers and others who use PFAS and similar chemicals in their processes and products.”
