Spencer Fane attorneys Jim Lodoen and Andrea Chase recently published an article featured in the ABA Banking Journal discussing recent economic challenges for farms and the options lenders have to address distressed loans.
Titled “Trouble on the Farm?” Jim and Andrea’s article outlines the steps lenders and counsel can take to approach distressed farm and agribusiness loans to preserve and monetize the credit.
“The best approach to managing a distressed farm or agribusiness borrower credit will vary. No size fits all,” Jim and Andrea explain in the article. “Only after the lender and its counsel have a firm understanding of the facts, law and documents can an approach be developed with the best chance of success.”
