James Crumlin Celebrates Black History with Tennessee Students

Spencer Fane attorney and DEI Committee Chair James Crumlin spoke at the New Hope Academy on February 29 as part of the private school’s Black History Month celebration.

James engaged over 250 pre-K to sixth-grade students, parents, and teaching staff in an interactive discussion about the importance of Black History Month. During the session, he recognized notable African-American heroes such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., President Barack Obama, Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglas, Malcolm X, Sojourner Truth, W.E.B. DuBois, Madame CJ Walker, Muhammad Ali, and many more.
