For our inaugural session, attorney Stacy Harper will explore requirements under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 that were modified by new final rules this year, with the latest round of changes effective December 23, 2024. These changes specifically impact reproductive and substance use treatment information and require updates to policies, procedures, and Notice of Privacy Practices. Operationally, they may also impact how the organization identifies, segregates, and protects certain types of information. This health care CLE will address the changes from the HIPAA and Part 2 final rules, build the to-do list for health care organizations, and talk about other changes and activity impacting health care privacy.
